MK908ii - hardware or software fault?

Got my MK908ii from Geekbuying. Even though the Wifi has full signal I'm only getting 4 - 10Mb when I'm on a 60Mb connection.

I've got a laptop, tablet and a phone in the same room and I'm getting atleast 50Mb on all 3 devices.

I've gone from the stock firmware to Finless 1.4b with no success - is there anything I can do software-wise before putting it down to hardware?

    Zak.

You should download wifi analyzer and do a test

      I have the same issue.
the signal shows good but the real connection is bad and slow, sometimes shows connection timeout.
On the other hand, other devices ( phone, laptop and table ) are all ok.

I tested it at three different places with different routers.
I used stock rom and Finless 1.4 but both are the same. So I guessed it's ap6210 wifi driver related issue or h/w problem.

So what you going to do? Geekbuying offered me a replacement and $10 to ship the unit back to them, and although that's great customer service I will have to wait a while til I get my replacement and by that time I'm sure something better will come along.

Have you tried changing the wireless channel on your router, or removing your wireless security temporarily to see if that's the case?

Wifi Analyzer tells me I'm on the best channel. But I havent tried disabling security, will try that.

Disabling the security makes no difference whatsoever.
