Minix Neo X7 community Dying?

Hi all i am starting to become worried about my X7 will become a permanent Paperweight since it seems there is less and less communication on the community pages about the Minix Neo X7 and other RK3188 devices seems to get constantly new Roms and fixes to them. So my question is ---> Is our Minix Neo X7 dead? Has the custom FW community dropped this device because RocKchip is f^!#king up the devices because they now make tablets for bigger companies?

Is not that the comunity si diying, It's just that pretty much everything that needs to be said has already been said. 1st of all struazo's rom has preety much no bugs or issues,but people recently like more the 1.6 finless rom. 2nd of all finless rom has no bugs nor issues (as far as I know), people have already tested all the kernels and people have already posted their results with them, people have already asked the questions they needed to ask and those question have already been answered. 3rd of all, lewy already said that he will eventually release a new rom we just don't know when. I Finally want to say that there will always be improvements or new features comming, and eventually android 4.3 and next versions will come as well, the improvement will never stop!

Both videos are shot with an old VIO POV.1. I now have a GoPro that is what the plowing video with the yellow vehicle is shot with.

Agreed, Finless 1.6 with phj kernel is pretty much perfect and only small improvements are needed. Strauzos Rom is also great. There's nothing much more that can be said at the moment.

Unless you've got a problem, odds are, people will be working on something else. If a shiny new set of tires come out that looks like they'll be a good fit, someone may test them out.

Keep in mind, after a while, people will move on to a better cart.

Ok i understand if it works flawlessly then I would go on newer and better things but my X7 don't run like that! My video still studders at times and the video quality is still not as crisp as it is on my WD live and I stille need to power WD live up for some videos becaus it's unwatchable. Plus the NFL game pass app has a lot of issues on the X7 there isn't on other android deviceses. I know NFL game pass can't be used in the States so people really don't care but I do and it was the primary reason I bought this device

HTC HD2, a windows phone 6.5 device, they even ported everything, from 4.3 to Ubuntu. I bet X7 has way more potential then that stupid phone. What we may ask for is more "source code", but i doubt we'll achieve anything if the RC partners don't bother much for that .

I have alot of things that not work good with X7. Some Swedish TV-apps like TV3,TV6,TV8,Telia Play+ and Viasat Play does not work good with X7.

A2 airmouse does not work with TV that has HDMI 1.4.
T2 airmouse make X7 shutdown randomly.

Video now is decent but not close to WDTV live gen 3 imo.

I absolutely know how you feel, my Samsung LED TV outperforms the Minix in video files.

Nearly every video I've tried works fine. I agree you have to have the right kernel and ROM combination and try different video players such as BS player and MX player and I've spent a lot of time testing them and researching it on here and the MINIX forums. Everything I've thrown at it though works pretty well now. I would agree though that my Samsung Smarthub TV can probably play them crisper.

Did it work on the unit before the rom switch? Does it work on similar units? Have you read the specs and determined what hardware is different between the machines that run it flawlessly and what does not?

And the biggest question that seems to not get looked at and yet all the work is pushed to the rom devs; is your specific device supported by the app? If it's not, then maybe you should go to the app devs forum and join the cause.

Again I would like to point out that the question wasn't can I get help with this problem, it was regarding the health status of a specific community. My point was that with all the massive grinding noises from other products around the shop, most won't focus alot of attention to a little squeak. Not to say it doesn't hurt to ask, just don't be surprised by the delayed response or complete lack there of.

Have you tried Finless 1.6 with OC kernel? I was using Strauzos but I find Finless 1.6 with Phjandersons kernel much better for video. The 1800/720/600 works the best.
