Strange TV image from X96mini application

Firstly: I am very new to X96mini box - just received it.

The first application I have installed myself is AccuWeather.

I have this application installed on my other box (Xiaomi Mi box). The display on TV takes the entire screen. (As on the first attachment).

On X96mini the TV display is vertical, and like on the smart phone ? you can see it on the second attachment. It even says ?SWIPE?!
Is that something that can be fixed, so that X96mini display is horizontal and takes the entire TV screen width (like from Mi box).

I think your Problem is that the Rotation is not locked in the Rom.

You have 3 Options:
1.: Go to Settings and Display an see if there is a Setting for Rotation
2.: Install an App from PlayStore that lock your Rotation like https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...otationcontrol

I certainly will follow your suggestions. But...

As stupid as is sounds: how do I install new firmware? I downloaded .rar file with A95X_F1_8.1_20190524.img in it.

No Problem @ all.

You need the USB Burning Tool you can Download here --> http://freaktab.org/ae9e49b4dc2c92d5
Download and Install it to your PC.
After Open the Programm and Load the img press "Start".
Also you need an USB A to A Cable to Burn it.
Now Connect the USB Cable to your PC and the Box.
The Firmware should Install now.

Hi Neomode. I bought the USB A to A cable to run a firmware update.
I followed your instructions and... nothing.
The program shows the name of an image file in the bottom (no Success: no Error...
(I wanted to attache images, but was not allowed).

Okay, I see take a look for a Reset Pin Hole on the Box.
Press to hold it while connecting the USB Cable.
Now it should Work.
