    Android 9.0 TV boxes that are rooted - suggestions?

    It's hard to find detailed info about new boxes, and I'm looking for a cheapo 9.0 box that is rooted. I just bought a box on Gearbest because they claimed it was rooted, but it wasn't - all attempts to root it failed, and I'm thinking why go through the extra hassle?

    SO, do any of you have hands-on knowledge of Android 9.0 boxes that are definitely rooted? Thanks in advance.

    what Box did you bought , maybe there are rooted Customroms ,

      Custom Roms usually come out a while after boxes are introduced. Most of the 9.0 boxes are less than 2 months old.

        What box did you buy?

        Most Amlogic boxes are released as Rooted. Stay away from RockChip and Allwinner devices if want stable custom ROMs for your device.

        I am looking at getting the "A95X_F2 4GB/64GB Amlogic S905x2 Android 9.0" when the Flash sale starts in a few hours.

          I got the "EACHLINK H6 Max Android 9.0 TV Box" from Gearbest for a good price. I'm not a gamer nor a 4K viewer, so it probably would have been fine for my needs if it had been rooted. The killer was that I asked Gearbest before purchasing the box if it was rooted, and they said yes. But it isn't, as CPU-Z showed as well as failed installs of apps requiring root.
