Touchscreen 0eef:0001 eGalax Touchkit driver help needed on kernel compilation

    Found this post:

    with drivers:

but have no idea how to compile the kernel, can somebody please help or compile the kernel for minix neo x5

I have used an eGalax screen with the same USB ID, but I used the drivers built in to the kernel instead of the manufacturer's drivers. There are options in the kernel config to enable USB touchscreens, and eGalax support is one of the options. I can't remember if it used the usbtouchscreen module, or it's own module.... I think it was under the USB Touchscreen option.

You might try searching for the 'usbtouchscreen' module and give it a try. Some of the custom kernels/roms include touchscreen support.

      custom flash?

      Thanks

Thats my first android device, until now used only official firmwares 4.1 and 4.2 but there i can't find something about touch support. Should it be there or could you suggest a custom firmware with usbtouchscreenmodule inside...

I'm not sure what roms are available for the X5, but I would start by looking to see if there is one by Finless or Lewy. I have used other roms from them (MK808 device) that included basic touch support.

          custom flash

          thanks

this names combined with x5 show up some results, i will test that in 2 - 3 hours and report.
The unit should be used as car navigation so touch, gps and remote control have the highest priority.
Builded up a power converter with can-bus control and remote emulation so i'm able to use the steering wheel buttons of the car to give the minix some input but up down left right enter back are a bit less for control...
