Can someone make a custom ROM

I have an A95X F2 box, which runs Android Pie. All Android boxes running Android Pie have no notification access, which means notifications are missing from the firmware. This would not be a problem if I had an Oreo ROM for my box, but the A95X F2 box only has Android Pie ROMS. There is a few stock and custom ROMS for this box, but all of them are Android 9 ROMS. Is it possible for someone to make an Oreo ROM for the A95X F2 box?

Have you tried flashing SuperCeleron's universal S905x2 ROM, which is Android 8.1, to see if it works on your device???

No it does not work. I had already read the entire thread, and others tried it on the same box, and they were not able to flash the rom. There is no Oreo rom that works on this box, which is why I am asking if someone can make an Oreo rom for it. Its really not a huge deal, cause the box runs great, and is the best performing s905x2 box I have came across, but it would be nice to be able to use notifications, which Android Pie boxes are not capable of doing. If there was an Oreo rom for this box it would solve the notification problem. Most boxes that have Android Pie roms also have Oreo roms, but the A95X F2 box only has Pie roms. Freaktab is probably the only place where a developer may be interested in helping us get an Oreo rom for the A95X F2 box, so hopefully a developer will help us out.

If the manufacturer released it already with Android Pie then unfortunately no Oreo firmware will work on it.
It will most likely have no wifi, RAM, EMMC drivers available for Oreo for the kernel and uboot to boot.

If buying a device first decide what features you need, do research and compare devices with support.
No name generic devices like MXQ, H96, A95, Alfawise have no support and are ship and forget devices, that's the only way those manufacturers can stay in business.
Don't rely on custom firmwares for any device because it might never happen or not fix any of your problems.

No person is going to buy a no name device like this to make a custom firmware for it and also try to backport an older Android version which doesn't have drivers, it's not possible if it doesn't have an open-source SDK and it's impossible to contact the manufacturer for any help.

The X2 Cube S905x2 has notifications if I'm not mistaken and already had 8 or 9 firmware updates.
I will just check my AM6, it runs the same Pie firmware(same SDK changes made by Ugoos) but for the S922x chipset.

I did research the box, but its not the box, its the firmware. The box is fine, its Android 9 that is the problem. I never would've suspected that notifications were not working on Android 9 boxes, so there was no way to research it before buying it. Its kinda one of those things where you find the problem then search for a solution, and when I searched for a solution I found nothing. I actually suspected it may be a problem with Android 9 boxes, so I simply Googled the names of different Android boxes like 'GT King notification access'. Then I realized it was the firmware and its a problem with all of the Android 9 boxes I searched Google for.

Thanks for telling me about the X2 Cube box. It is the first Android Pie box that I have seen that has notifications working. Would it be possible to port that rom to the A95X F2 box? There is a thread on the 4PDA site where someone is making custom roms for the A95X F2 box, and none of the roms have notification access. The problem is I cannot read Russian, so I cannot signup for the site to ask questions. I can translate the thread, but the part of the site where you signup cannot be translated.

Their devices are hardware locked so the firmware won't work on other devices.
They started doing it since too many companies were starting to steal their firmware in the past to use on other devices.

Well hopefully since they have notifications working, other boxes will soon have notifications working as well. Its so random to me that so many Android Pie boxes would not have notification access. I have literally searched over 10 Android Pie boxes, and all of them are missing notification access. The X2 is the first box I have seen running Pie to have notifications working. Notification access just seems like a weird thing to disable in firmware. Well I guess I will just have to wait till notification access gets sorted out. Thanks for the information.

                  Porkie

Found out from a reliable source that the A95X-F2 has an "Encrypted Bootloader," similar to A95X-MAX, all of which makes it furthur difficult to make ROMs or Port a custom ROM to this device.
