Flashing problem - cheap chineese rk3066 device

Hi guys,

I had some problems with flashing the cheap unbranded rk3066 4G/1G device I ordered from ****.
Every ROM I tried to flash failed. I tried many different ROMs I downloaded from ft - ug802, ug802 clones, mk802 and many more, the problem is once it fails at flashing, I can't get the RK Android tool to erase it and I have to let it "cool off" for few days before I can re-erase it.

I am adding photos of the device. Hopefully someone here had experience with this device and can help me find a suitable rom for my device.

I suggest you to try to reinstall the device drivers in your computer Windows 7 is easier to use for this than Windows 8, be sure to use a usb 2.0 port (if you use usb 3.0 it can fail), and try to use different usb wires.

Yes, I tried it on different computers, all with win7 on them. Does the same thing. I installed the drivers that came with the tool and I didn't have any problems flashing my other mk809III device.

Do you recognize the device?

Hi, Thanks for the reply,
I didn't install the google sdk driver, just the ones that come with the Rockchip tool.

In the thread you mentioned they are little unclear as to what to do because they are talking about the sdk driver. Do I need to uninstall the RK driver and install the android sdk? Or can I edit the parameters of the RK drivers somewhere else?

i think.. you could also modded the rockchip driver..

What does..win7 'device manager' report?
--is the device detected? was there a driver installed? is the driver code10? is there a second version?
needs more info..

my buddy got himself a ug007 clone. The imito mx1/2 finless 1.7a addressed most of the issues, but it wont do 1080p no matter what i do. try that firmware.
