I have two T9 64GB with WIFI and Bluetooth. They have the firmware that came with it which is 8.1 Android. I used to have a 3rd one because someone posted an update elsewhere on the web and when I used the USB Male to Male pass through cable and used the firmware flashing tool. It took the update but it was stuck on a boot loop. Went to try to recover it I got a Check Chip Failed. It would refuse to flash anything else and left it as a pile of junk. Was using a USB 2.0 port and not the 3.0 ports. Now is this firmware really for the 64GB version of the T9 Box with 2.4/5GHz wifi and Bluetooth version? Did this break anything else besides the remote? Is it safer to upgrade this using an SD card or the USB cable to PC using the factory tool?

Am I just better to leave the 8.1 alone and just buy a new better box when I have the funds and throw these away when google play no longer supports them?
