I have the above mentioned android box and wanted to upgrade the firmware on it as some of the apps (i.e YouTube) will not update. Is that p[ossible and what is the best firmware i can use to upgrade. Vontar have a customised user interface which i would like to reset to a stock standard android user interface.

Before you sent me the image file, i tried to root the box. This was successful however when i restart the box, it just shows that its restarting and nothing happens after that. I just hope i havent bricked it. What is the best way to load the img file?

Best way to flash it is with USB Burning Tool from your PC.
As far as I know the ROM I link you is rooted.

My PC does not recognise the device for me to use the USB Burning tool. I tried to update the firm ware on the device with however it say that i am installing xxx firmware whilst its expecting M8SPRO_VONTAR_Z8_ARC. Does anyone have this particular firmware?

I made the above post to request for a firmware for the VONTAR Z8 Arc Android box. I have managed to get the stock firmware however its in the .img format. Is it possible to convert this to a zip file so that i can upgrade it using a USB directly from the Android box? Can any one help to convert it?
