In the past there was an app called root switcher but it is difficult to find now and it does not not seem to work well on newer boxes. On XDA developers (if I remember right) some one asked if somebody could develop a Root Switcher. I like the idea of being able to open or close root when one wants to.
However I do not know if that is easy to do and if it will work on many machines.
On A95X MAX, such a root switch is incorporated in the firmware and works very nicely, which for me is a plus. Unfortunately in terms of speed the processor of this box compared to S922 or RK3399 is really slow and therefore I hardly use the A95X MAX.
Having an ROOT SWITCHER app working properly and compatible with S922 or RK3399 or even other boxes would be a huge plus in my opinion.
I wonder if any developer out there is willing to give it a try. Quite honestly I don't know if it is difficult to do and possible to do. I am sure that at the moment a lot of people use rooted machines with the doors wide open and with insufficient security and thus exposing themselves. I guess that some people would be open for a donation if such a Switcher was available.
