i wana buy tv box but not shure about it so i coming asking her your help.

i looking for the S905X3 SOC but i not shure what is the best becose i not found benchmark vs S912.

What you think is the best for you ? s905x3 or s912?

My tv is 2019 model 4K hdr.

S905x3 is new, so everybody see them for sale now when looking to buy a new device, none of the current offerings available with new chip are going to be great choices long term because next year Amlogic will release the S905x4. Better to buy a device with the powerful S922X chip which won't be replaced for 2 years.

If your mind is made up and you want to buy a S905x3, then buy one from Tanix or Beelink. Only buy 4GB ram devices, most all 2GB Ram devices are trash.

Antutu benchmarks are not fully reliable yet because the firmwares for S905x3 chip still have a lot of bugs, but the early reports for Antutu show the S905x3 chip able to benchmark from 60k to 80k, which is a big spread, because the firmwares are not yet optimized for the chip and it also depends what hardware components are being used. For example some of the first devices with new chip have slow cheap DDR3 ram chips instead of more expensive LPDDR4 ram, or the new devices are using cheap eMMC storage chips which will have the negative effect of a lower Antutu score.

RiCkLaR tx alot for your explication but i can buy s922 the box is too much for us that way i prefer s912 or s905x3.

i need for for doing the best experiance for playing videos for cheap. i know is dificult but 3yea ago i have buy s905 and is will working perfectly for videos and smothely.

for shure i will buy only 4go memory but i juste wana know what is the best for videos like the s912 old or s905x3 new (A55 cpu).

that that the question what is the best biwin s912 and s905x or meby h6 or rk?

The S905x2 and S905x3 have same GPU (Mali-G31) and VPU which is actually the newer Generation of the GPU in th S912.

- Mali-450 : oldest gpu, low grade, cheap gpu (inside RK3318/RK3328 and S905W/S905X)
- Mali-720 : old gpu, medium grade, mid-range, budget gpu (inside H6)
- Mali-820 : last of old gpu architecture family, medium grade, newer version of Mali-720 (inside S912)
- Mali-G31 : new GPU, medium grade, more modern with new architecture and better VPU (vpu = video processor unit)

So, if buying a new device get the newest GPU for best picture on a budget, but if you just want device to use for CoreELEC (Kodi software) then S912 is still a good choice for cheap price.

i agree with RiCkLaR_atvX

I have still couple of boxes with soc 912 with custom roms , although picture is good,and they still work, but i believe they have served their purpose, and with newer chip S922x is out for some time now, its time to upgrade. If you have money go for S922 SOC chip box.you will have better support.

whether you want to go with s905x3 or s905x2 its your choice, the newer one will have bugs but it will be much cheaper.

and if you can wait amlogic has announced new chips including S905X4 for next year which are coming soon
S908X (supports 8K@60fps) ,
S905X4, (i belive it will have same GPUMali-G31) and
S805X2 (low range)

that the probleme i cant wait i need box now and i need box for good videos HDR so i think the s905x3 is the best compromise but if you have other SOC in same price but beater for video and have hdr i fowoling you ^^
