    MK808: swapping from 720 to 1080 kernel

    Hey guys,

I am running Finless 2.1 on an MK808 (original, non-b). I initially installed the 720 kernel but want to change to the 1080 2dark4u kernel.

Do I simply run the ROM flash tool with the MK808 in flash mode, untick all except boot image and kernel, and then flash the 1080 boot image (inluded in finless 2.1 package) and the 2dark4u kernel? Or is there some other procedure to follow?

    Thanks,

    Jack.

You can do it like you said, the only problem is boot picture will be distorsionated.

      Isn't finless 2.1 an Android 4.2.2 ROM and 2dark4u 1.4 an Android 4.1.1 Kernel?

Yep, the overclocked kernels won't work on Finless 2.1.

I recommend the Minix firmware, as you won't have to worry about boot image distortion as it doesn't have one.
