T95Q V1 not recognised in Windows

Hi everyone, I bought a T95Q box a while back, and left it sitting on factory firmware, which is trash, I now want to flash the Sasvlad ATV firmware and the box isn't recognised in Windows 10.I made my own cable from two decent looking USB leads and made sure it's wired correctly.

The T95Q lights up but nothing else happens, I have disabled all firewalls and antivirus just in case, no change. any advice is welcome, thanks.
