Is the MK808 a good replacement for a logitech revue

Does the MK808 have equal picture quality and equally smooth video playback to the logitech revue?

Is the MK808 a good solid device to get? Or is there something more reliable and better for video?

I am trying to determine which android unit to get that has picture qualitity and smooth video playback equal to that of the logitech revue. Any advice would be great.

It's like 5x cheaper than a logitech revue.

If you want a device similiar to that, your best bet is one of the Minix devices, the X5 or X7.

mk808 is fine for playback if you jump through some hoops.

Are you suggesting the minix units because of their hardware??? or is it becasue of their software?

I am happy to root and flash a room on a rk unit if it will make it equal in picture qualitity and smoothness of the revue.

I'd recommend it for the ports you get on it and the firmware - it's by far the most user friendly and it simply 'works'.

You can get the mk808 just a quick by flashing roms with overclocked kernels. You'll probably have to fix the wifi by soldering unless you buy an ethernet adaptor.

Compare the two and take your pick.
