Not a problem at all if you buy this box and use only for CoreELEC (Kodi+Linux software). If you buy this box and want good performance from Android then you are sadly in for a world of pain and headache.

I have several of the x96 max plus2, newly purchased ( some came today ) and the wifi is not working properly. I did the ota updates and it's up to 20200620-1131. The wifi connects, speedtest reports the right speed. Everything seems ok until I try to run cinema or filelink,stremio, all vod apps. They load very slowly on each step. Filelink won't open at all. I'm highly invested and really need help.

Is there anyone besides me that is having wi-fi issues with the X96 Max. I have the latest with x3 and 5g. I have 9 on them that will not open apps like stremio, filelinked or really any vod app. It says connected in network settings, internet and youtube work. This is nuts. Please help !!

i'm having a strange problem with x96 max+. an h264 avc video i made plays fine and smooth in my h96max+ but it fails in x96max+ when i enable hardware acceleration. it gets stuck at a certain point in video and becomes slow motion. if i disable hardware acceleration, this part plays fine but then other heavy bitrated parts start to shutter. so, it seems like hardware acc is not working as well as it does in h96 max+ with android 7. any ideas to solve that issue? i have the latest june firmware in x96.

Mine was going up to 85 C until it shutdown and rebootet.
I did a step by step on CE in the DIY Thermal Modification.

Also I did a dispute in Aliexpress where I wanted 16 Euro (half the price for a 4/64) as a refund.
They wanted a video and I made one where at 85 C shortafter the box does a reset /auto reboot and that convinced them.

The 16 E is already most of the 26 E price of the A95X F3 RGB what runs cooler since the procesor is not mounted on the underside where it heats a lump of sheat metal.
Also I figured since CoreElec uses less than 1 GB to run Kodi 2 GB should do fine. Android will be wiped and a clean CE installation put on the box as OS.

I would use the Amlogic UBT that is recommend by Khadas for installation with the current chipsets, tool version 2.2.0 https://dl.khadas.com/Tools/USB_Burning_Tool_v2.2.0.zip and not the "Latest" tool in your link you posted from androidmtk.com.

My experience with it, it overheats easily, I had to modify it and put an tiny netbook cooler, now is well cooled temps not over 55ºC.

Stupid design, the board is upside down.

I can't connect it to PC, if I plug the usb cable in my pc in a usb2 port the box reboots. If I connect only to my PC without the power it powers itself from the usb, but no adb connection too.

Hi guys! I bought the 4/32 variant to make my TV Smart and use the box to watch cable tv by using my cable provider's Android app! The app doesn't work on my X96 Max+, because the app detects it as rooted! I removed root and still it doesn't work! I changed a couple roms, I even bricked the device and managed to revive it again by short-circuiting the NAND chip, then flashed the custom rom suggested above! The app still detects it as rooted, even when Root Checker, says there's no root! Maybe the fact that the ROM has the developer test keys, makes the app detect it as rooted? I don't know! Is there a clean ROM with Android TV out there for this box, or have I wasted my money for nothing? Please answer...! I really tried everything...

Your app probably only works on official AndroidTV devices like the Mi box, Nvidia Shield etc.

Hi! I´m having a bluetooth problem with this tv box. I have two devices that a want to you use in this box: A JBL Clip 3 speaker and a Pamu Slide TWS. both with the same problem: the connection is established, is paired but does not come out audio. sometimes it connects, pairs, come out the audio for some time and then the audio disappears, continuing as connected and paired. sometimes it keeps connecting and disconnecting the bluetooth in loop. Does anyone can suggest any solution? Thank you very much.
