Netflix issues with NEOMODE 1.7 Rom on MK802iv New Wifi

I'm looking for help on getting Netflix to run stable with NEOMODE 1.7 Rom on MK802iv New Wifi.

I have Tried Netflix 2.4.1 it freezes and I cannot get it to play a video.

I currently am running Netflix version 2.0.2. Sometimes it will run for a few hours fine then all of a sudden it will freeze up and not play. I try rebooting and it still freezes I can then only get it to work it I do not use the Netflix app for about 10 minutes reboot and kill all unnecessary apps. Sometimes the app alson will not allow me to exit Netflix if i do then the videos will not play unless I goto Setting/Apps/Netflix and force kill the Netflix app.

Is this a problem with the Rom? Kernel? or Netflix?

Does anyone have any Idea to get this app to work properly?

Well today I played around for a while...

I noticed that my app auto updated the the newest version which was not working so I had to disable auto update in the play store...

I then tested several versions and to no avail I finally got one to work it was version 2.2.0

Hopefully this version proves stable or at least usable.

If anyone wants the apk let me know


Edit** after a few TV episodes I found this version to glitch once and a while when exiting and returning to the app but after force closing and clearing the cache it would work again

I can confirm that this one works.

You need to install both apk files, then reboot. Launch the exposed framework app and run the netflix fix from inside the app.

I don't know if this will help, but there is new Netflix v3.0 released today... Hope it work better and smooth.

However this new 3.0 release is not available yet at GooglePlay, so you will have to search, download and sideload the APP.

I've been running Neomode's default hybrid for a few days and Netflix still crashes, even with the latest version of Netflix. Tried also running through a different ISP in a different region with the MK802 IV right next to the wireless router it still didn't work. I need to play with other variations of Neomode's latest stuff to see what happens.

There is a known issue with RK3188 devices running android 4.2.
Really would advice trying the exposed framework fix.

Well, i have the mk802iv with the old wifi chipset. I am currently running: mk802iv_oldwifi_1_5.
Someone else would be more capable of answering which version of netflix works best with the neomode 1.7 rom.

But like i said. This is a general issue with rk3188 devices. And it doesn't seem to be related to netflix versions, but rather netflix in general (don't quote me on that :P ) .

I think it would be safe to run the newest netflix 3 from playstore with the exposed framework.

As you had suggest, Installed the xpose framework APP and the newest Netflix 3.0.1 from Google-Play market... Apparently the Netflix APP is working better and I have been able to watch a full movie without any problem!!

However I have noted that now I can not get a full screen and always see an 1" inch black border in the picture frame...

What kind of monitor do you have? 720 or 1080 ?
If you are running a 720 kernel on a 1080 tv or visa versa, you would maybe get the result you are describing.

You only have this issue with netflix?
Is the black border just on top and bottom (Like letterbox) ?
Or is it like a square around the whole picture?
Try going to settings and change you resolution.

Newest Netflix 3.0.2 (released 31.Oct.2013) works Flawlessly with CX-919 and Neomode 1.7 ROM!!

I through everyone might like to know, that after installed the most recent Netflix version 3.0.2 (released 31.Oct.2013), I am watching all the movies without any problems!!


So something has been corrected or the buffering method have changed, because now the Netflix APP works flawlessly without blocking the system!!


I am using Neomodes 1.7 in my CX-919 TV stick and installed the most recent Netflix version, and don't need the Xposed Netflix Fix anymore:


Netflix 3.0.2 released 31.Oct.2013


Don't use any other old version, all of them have the same buffering problems, and you will have to use the Xposed Netflix Fix.
