IPPLI I2 Rockchip RK3188 What is this toy with 18305 antutu bench

    Hi all,

I was looking to geek RK3188 and i saw this toy http://www.geekbuying.com/item/IPPLI...ck-320600.html it comes in white also but it has an antutu bench of 18305 that's more than tron t428 and mk802IV my favourite to buy.

Does anyone knows what chip is inside for wifi and bluetooth.
Btw it has 2gb/8gb the normal has been 1/8

AnTuTu benchmark scores are not the absolute truth and many variables affect them.

For example, my T428 scores 21200 when using the HFW rom and a self-built kernel.

That has been my maisn reason to check what device to buy.
I always take a peak at what antutu values have given to see if the device has a good construction.
I've been confused to buy betweeen the T428 and the MK802IV wich also have a wifi with A bandwich is great in case of upgrading my own AP's at home.

Thanks for the info given using that rom as i see it's very well built. I miss so much my old MK802III and with linux.... what a machine.

Most the ROMs I have made recently for the MK908, CX-919, X7, etc all get a Antutu score of over 18000.

"Pzebacz im, bo nie wiedzą, co czynią"
"Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
"Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
"Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
"Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

          HFW 2.0.3 gives 21,000 in 720p and 18,500 in 1080p.

just shows the manafacturers are getting slightly better at making ROMs themselves.

            IPPLI Mars I2

I bought one, my foray into Android TV sticks. I pulled the lid off it since there isn't much info on these either. RK3188 with AP6210 chip.

Antutu score was 18605 out of the box. WIFI performance has been flawless as far as I can tell. TV is 8m from my wireless-G router.

Seems that mp4 HDTV videos are slightly jerky, no matter whether I play them in xbmc or mx player or VLC. Funnily enough though, a few 720p mkv's have played flawlessly which should be more of a strain of the thing I would have imagined.

Device came unrooted. I managed to take care of that.

Haven't had any success changing rom's however. Keep getting a "MSC device can't do upgrade" error in RKAndroidTool.

Wouldn't mind going back to android 4.1.1 so I can use my wii remote, and I imagine a better rom would help with the jerky video problem. Not worried personally about 1080p cos my TV only does 720P. Any recommendations for which rom to use?? Ideas on the upgrade error?

Figured out my problem flashing, so I flashed with finless 1.6b rom and video playback now works a treat... Quite happy now, if only I could use my wiimote.

                Ippli Mars I2C (with camera)

Thanks Lockers82 for the very good photos. On the 5th photo, it can be seen that there is an unpopulated site with circular markings (adjacent to the micro-SD slot and the full-size USB port). I presume this is provision for the camera component that is included in Ippli Mars I2C. There are also markings adjacent to the Recovery switch that suggest provision for the microphone that is included in I2C. Can anybody confirm?

Further, can anybody confirm whether or not the thermal dissipation through the aluminium casing works well?

Can't confirm anything re the camera and mic, but sounds logical enough.

Heat wise, the casing gets warm, but as the chip doesn't really contact the casing very well I can't imagine it actually does a whole lot. It's not as though there's heatsink compound applied between the chip and casing, nor is there much aluminium there to dissipate heat. But hey, better than plastic I suppose.

Yes, I just got the I2C version and indeed that's where the 2MP camera and mic are. I notice the i2c stick I got clocked at 1.4Ghz instead of 1.6Ghz Antutu score is 16k ish. I hope there will be new firmware soon to fix the issue. BTW: Lockers82, how do you open the case without damage?

                      Sound issue with Maris I2C

                      Dear Lockers82

I have sound issue while reading video from wifi or USB key or internal Flash:
                      - sometime the sound stop for a few 500ms
                      - after a while i have a huge pb od synchro between sound and image.

My stick is on a Full HD sharp TV.

Could you, please, tell me how you change the rom inside the stick?
Where did you find another ROM?
What is its date (mine is X32s_i2C_RK3188_IPPLI_V422_131012)?
Did you use rockhip tool? v1.6 or v1.7 (i have a cube tablet )?
                      Is your new rom rooted?
Could you post a picture of the setting?
Could you do a quick tutorial please?

                      Maby questions: Sorry

                      Regards
