X96 Max - ethernet disconnects when trying to connect to server in Surfshark app (IKEv2)

    Hello guys,

    Box1: X96 Max 4/64 x905x2
Fw: V311R_P_20191223-1456 (upgraded from OTA, seems latest)

    More details:
Issue appears only with protocol IKEv2 and OpenVPN/TCP in Surfshark app.

Do you have that issue too?
What ROM should I test to fix that?

    Thank in advance for support.

Did you mess with the "Developer Options" menu?

I had an Ethernet connection bug in one of my devices running Android 9, can't remember which, but the problem was solved by changing a Developer setting...

Also can't remember which setting to be exact, but try these Networking settings 1) the setting "Mobile data always active" - turn ON if disabled, and 2) "Default USB configuration" - set to File Transfer. Both settings are safe to change to, nothing adverse will happen, but hopefully it helps.

    Test it out!
    Cheers

      @RiCkLaR_atvX

Developer options not activated. Anyway I'll try your workarounds, thanks.

Btw. I have the same issue on other device X96 Max+ 2/16GB s905x3 but it appears only when I open Surfshark app.
Maybe Android 9 (mobile) is not compatible with that app.

      Edit:
Seems like the app is creating issue and disconnects ethernet.

Guys issue is fixed on X96 Max 4/64 x905x2 but it's still there on X96 Max Plus 2/16 s905x3..

I think that Surfshark app is not compatible with all Android 9 firmwares.

        EDIT:
Issue appeard again on both boxes.
It connects to server with protocol OpenVPN/UDP and Shadowsocks but can't with IKEv2 and OpenVPN/TCP.
