Been a guitar player for some 35 years, been tinkering with electronics since i can remember. early 90s worked for sears for a few years working on camcorders and vcrs while that lasted
Anyways past 10 years or so i got into tube amps mainly Marshall, none the less more older ones.
Early in getting into these things a common theme kept happening with issues due to oxidation (figure where im going)
I got into these android boxes after a friend gave me a firestick and we started playing asphalt online together (racing games are like digital crack for me)
the point? recently i got a couple boxes within a few days i started having issues, yea a few were my fault installing bad apps, saterday i got one in (MX10 pro 6K) i didnt do anything with it this time it just shut off out of the blue.
Out of about 50 trys ide get it to boot ide tinker around and shut it off and it would be dead again. Well not dead but hang on the loading screen.
Today just for the hellobit i plugged everything into all 4 USB sockets then plugged a set of headphones into both the AV and SPDIF jack then all the sudden it booted again.
Im thinking some of these sockets have connection issues and they are causing stability issues.
Oxidation is a big problem with older amps, the pots, the input and output jacks, the reverb tanks and deox-it has been a god send since i was tipped off about it. Ive fixed more gear with this stuff then anything else.
I could be full of it and just got lucky and its working but ever since i messed with the two 3.5mm jacks my box has been working
I even recently bought 2 meanwell 3amp 5V power supplies thinking they were the main issues, im starting to think theres more then just dirty power supplies and unstable roms
