Vontar X3 bricked by it self-only red light

    Hello to everybody,
I dont know why but is truth...Vontar X3 bricked by it self. Can't turn on. Only the red light remained. Tried flash with USB Burning Tools - stopped at 7%. Same thing with Burn Card Maker-SD. I used VONTAR_X3_1000M_9.0_S905X3_2020.01.13, HK1_X3_S905X3_2019-11-23, u218.VONTAR_X3_1000M_9.0.2019.12.28.11.18 and u218.VONTAR_X3_1000M_9.0.2020.01.13.12.20 img without success. Is there anything I can do with UART and how (instruction)? The device is recognized by USB.
    Thanks for the help.

Can you try something for me?
Push a male plug into both 3.5mm jacks and pull them out really quick then try and boot it up

Maybe put the plug into this jack and twist it wround before you pull it back out

I have a MX10 that just quit on me also, it was working a week ago before i put it back into the box now it wont boot up

Nothing happens ... same thing. I tried everything. With and without power...with toothpick, shortening two pins on the back side...nothing.

          Connected with UART:
          Rx to Tx
          Tx to Rx
          Gnd to Gnd
I only get nonsense in the terminal ... what's going on ???

            1. Srart USB Burnig Tool. Load your image file and press "START".
            2. Connect one end (USB-A) of your cable to your box.
            3. While shorting the 2 pins connect the other end of your cable (also USB-A) to your PC/Laptop and keep connecting for 2-3 seconds (until you hear a beep). Stop shorting the pins.
            -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also you can try without shorting the pins and when it stops at 7% just UNPLUG the USB cable and REPLUG it without doing anything else. It is possible that it will continue burning beyond the 7%.

I've done it 100 times and always stopped at 7%...

Did you try unplugging and replugging?

                OR in another try

Did you check "Full Erase" instead of "Normal Erase"?

I did, of course ... . I was able to start flash via UART, but it interrupts the process ... I'm looking for another img ...Is there any recovery img for this Vontar?

https://yadi.sk/d/kUjKMLyIrUBshQ I don't know if this is different than the ones you already tried. It was uploade on 14/2/2020.

Im surprised this male to male USB cable isnt blowing peoples USB power driver on the laptop or PC

These TV boxes use a 2amp power supply so how is the male to male USB powering the device to be updated off a computer or laptop that doesnt even put out 2amp threw the USB port?

I would think that you could get it to recognize using the PC or laptop but then ide think it would need its own power to go any further

My first thought was at 7% thats when the device the tv box is connected to the USB driver is overheating and shutting down.

If I were you I would insist in the method of "shorting pins". Sometimes it may take a few tries to succed and with different parameters and combinations (normal erase or full erase, different USB ports of the box or PC, different ROMs for DDR3 or DDR4 etc).

On the other hand you can try to boot your box with coreelec 9.2.2 (it supports S905X3). You can burn it in an SD card, choose the right dtb file and rename it to dtb.img (probably the generic for your box and memory). Of course it will not fix your problem but you will test if your box boots at least with it (of course in that case you can use KODI as usual). The box always tries to start from sd.
