A95X F3 Slim Firmware Recovery Success

I had a bricked A95X F3 Slim and searched everywhere for the stock firmware which doesn't seem to be available anywhere. So I downloaded the A95X F3 Air firmware since the only difference between the two seems to be the color LED lights on the box. The firmware I used I think I downloaded here that also came with a 'password.bin'. I then used Amlogics USB Burning Tool 2.1.7.3 and loaded the firmware into the software. Then I added the password bin by using the 'view' menu. I pressed the start button then pressed and held the reset button on the slim located inside the audio port with a toothpick and then connected the usb cable. The power cord is not needed as the usb cable will power on the device. I did this about 3 or 4 times until the software finally saw the device and started flashing the box. It succeeded.

Upon startup it complains about the 'UI Stopped' but I used the remote and just clicked through that. Then I went through the usual setup process. It acts a little goofy on first boot, like no sound on the boot screen but just ignore it... everything works in the end. After reaching the home screen I immediately used the update tool to apply the update which worked without issue. Once it rebooted I then located the 'Color LED' program and shut it off for every category it has since the SLIM doesn't have the LED lights.

I then entered Google Play and updated all the stuff that was available for an update then restarted the box. Everything runs perfect actually better than before. One glaring improvement is there is no black screen hang before getting to the home screen like the SLIM firmware did. Now it just gets done with the boot screen and goes straight to the home screen. Hooray!

    Hello,
I have also A95X F3 slim box. I have issue that appeared these days: I am using LAN por for internet (wired connection) so when I turn off wifi i receive "Bluetooth keeps stopping" message,
Is this a issue or what ? I have to mention I do have latest firmware update 20200309.

I noticed bluetooth doesn't like if wifi is turned off... it's almost like they're connected somehow.

Aha, that means WIfi must be on all the time if I should avoid error messages
Where we can send email so we can report this issue ?

You nee d to install Vendor file also

Did you install the SlimBox firmware using TWRP?

Since you know how to do it now and before you get to much stuff on it put TWRP on a SD card and boot to that using a mouse or air mouse then run the Vendor file and it will install all the support for that box.

Mine stock came with some cool video at the boot with some car zooming across the screen and after the Slim firmware it didnt do anything no LED support then added the Vendor now the LED section works and there is a new animation at the boot. I think there are other things in the vendor file but im not sure what all it adds

I know one box i installed the Slimbox rom on (X96 max+) the ok or enter button didnt work and i went threw all of the roms from 4.1 to 5.1 and it never would work, then i installed the Vendor file and boom instantly it worked
