Simply flash a different ROM. One that will spoof your stick as a different device. Or you can do it yourself if your rooted. Lookup spoof device through build prop. All of the finless roms will do this for you.

I'm having the same problem. What's the best device to spoof?

I have mounted the system in RW and edited:
      • ro.product.model = Nexus S
      • ro.product.manufacturer = samsung
      • ro.product.brand= SAMSUNG
      but its not working.

Hmm. May be more to change. I own a cx919. Running finless1.6...He is spoofing as a gt-i 9300 Samung. I just went to play store to see if I could download. Had no problem...You did reboot before you tried? I did not look to see if he has a rom for your device.? But I am presuming there is one?Can you try?

I've searched but not room. Would love to see a tutorial or something that show us how to spoof this tv boxes.

I have just played with it and went on an endless reboot. had to reflash again.

There are tuts all over on how to spoof devices. Yes you have to be extremely careful when doing so. There is a app on the store to do it for you too. Its does not have to be specific to the box.

The solution for me, was finless ROM 1.6b from cx919, works great and spoofed. I realised that is very difficult to find answers in this forum. I don't know why...

does the WIFI and BT work with the kernel on CX919 ROM or did you need to flash other kernel?
