I ended up installing via Windows, since I was more confident of those instructions.

Using the RKAndroidTool.exe included in your BETA1 package, I followed the simple instructions and the installation worked perfectly.

BT seemed very solid... I paired a Moga BT gamepad ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...s2&tag=usdk-20 ) and installed Riptide GP ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nit.blue&hl=en ) and then my son and I played continuously for a couple hours without any loss of BT connectivity, while sitting about 12 feet from the Imito QX2.

During some later testing I found that the wifi connection was lost for no obvious reason, though it seemed to happen immediately after I attached a USB flash drive with movies for movie and video testing. I had difficulty reestablishing the wifi connection until I stopped/started wifi.. Afterwards it has seemed to stay connected.

I installed MX Player and attempted playback of a variety of movies, some HD video from my Canon DSLR as well as some Blueray and DVD rips. Mostly movie playback worked well... During a few of the movies from my DSLR there was a bit of stuttering, and the playback of a DVD rip of an action anime seemed slight less than perfectly smooth- at a point when there was a lot of action.

I'll continue to play with the BETA and report what I find. I am liking it much better so far (mostly because my BT is working now).

Thanks so much for your help.

Good! Sounds promissing, In Monday I will try to add some more stuff to it, and release it. Without the device, wifi and bt are the bad part. Please look at that wifi disconnection, and tell me if they happens constantly or only in sporadic time.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, about video shutter, sorry I tried it some times, and got a custom kernel working without the device is impossible for me, so we are limited to stock kernels.

I agree, the wifi issue is more serious, the video issue not so much if it only happens with the 1080p kernel- I was pretty happy running the 720p kernel which came on the stick.

Having played with your 1080p kernel I will next flash the 720p kernel from your beta and play with that also.

Hopefully I will have some more time to test before Monday.

        Thanks again!

Is present the WiFi disconnect issue in the stock rom too? What type of encriptation and what channel do you use? Please check with the Google app Wi-Fi analizer if your channel is saturated.

No problem with the stock ROM which shipped on the device (20130927 720p version)..

The versión (130927) shipped with my qx2, the wifi was very unstable.

With the stock 131024 and leolas beta1 the wifi was stable for two hours.

With 1080p the qx2 was very Hot. I Will try with 720p

Can you both tell me if you use wpa2, wpa or wep encriptation?
I saw problems with wep and some roms, while wpa2 is more stable. And if you have wifi signsl drops, please check if your wifi channel is busy with so many networks.

                  I was using WPA2 Personal...

I have only two networks visible.

I am using the suggested external antenna.

So far, my experience has been that BT is perfect with the BETA firmware, but with the original 20130927 720p firmware BT was very unstable.

Wifi seemed stable with the original firmware, but less so with the beta.

I will try to test wifi more scientifically later tonight.

I am interesting in logging cpu/device temperature... I've found some messages on the forum where you say the kernel temp sensor code is non-functioning...

Has there been any change in the status?

The device definitely runs hotter with the 1080p kernel, but unless it becomes unstable it is hard to know if it is "too hot".

I did note some video glitching/instability during gameplay last night with the 1080p kernel.

I flashed the 720p kernel and all problems disappeared.

For my purposes I think the 720p kernel is acceptable... I think. :-)

I can't say that those sensors are not working, I want to say that in all kernel sources released that I saw, the part about temp sensor return a fixed value, the kernels supplied with my beta are the stock kernels that comes with the stock roms I have, I can't make a custom kernel without the device.
In my QX1, the stock kernel runs hotter that a custom oc kernel, I don't know why. Because oc kernel should be hotter, but it is not

I still cannot get the display to stay on with the BETA.

                          I use WPA2 anyways.

Am I not going through the first boot correctly I wonder? I will try to flash again for a third time.

I am confused about wifi because for some people wifi is working good and for other it didnt. I used 24-10-2013 drivers in my beta rom.

I've got a 27 September version (Unstable wifi)

I have to try BT and USB camera.

The iMito with 720p kernel is colder and everything else OK.
