I have a HiSilicon 3798v100 android box with kitkat 4.4.2 installed. How can I upgrade to latest version of android? Can someone point me to the direction where I can download the latest firmware or software for upgrade.

You can't update it, you have to buy a new device.
Check in About, System Update if it finds anything, but most likely not.

I have tried it using 'system update' but it says it is upto date!

That's the beauty of open source 'android' that software is free but hardware is not!
