What APP do I use to Stream files from my computer over the Internet/Network to Minix X7?

Hey guys, I want to know what APP I have to use to stream my files from my Computer's HDD(S) to the Minix X7 via Internet/network? Also, I am debating of upgrading my PC from Windows 7 to 8 or 8.1, should I stay on Windows 7 or can I update to the newest Window's versions?

1) when you say "stream" do you mean transfer files from your pc to android or live streaming media files like videos? If you mean transfer there are many cloud services such as dropbox and there is an app called airdroid that you download and then you only have to go to web.airdroid.com to transfer the files to your android device. If you mean live stram media then there are apps like iMedia share.

2) The thing about windows 8 is that it combines the tablet UI and the PC UI so your pc can also do what a tablet can and visa versa. but, if your pc is a non-touchscreen pc then the tablet UI won't be really conftable for you and if you use a windows tablet then the PC UI won't be conftable, that's why the convertible tablet-PCs are perfect for windows 8. I have the dell inspiron duo and I updated to win8 cuz it was too dificult to use the touchscreen with win7.

It's the same compability, and it does run a little faster but I wouldn't upgrade to win8 if i wasn't going to use it with a touchscreen pc

Looks pretty good, exactly what I was looking for.

If you share your folder that you want to stream from (on the comouter) then you can just setup xbmc on x7 using dmb share.

Or use archplayer also it is more simple to setup. But xbmc can do so moutch more

It can work on any devices that use xbmc
