H96pro + 2/16 Lpddr
Slimbox v10.6
ATV & AOSP
https://slimboxtv.ru
**Final update to mini review**
A few thoughts as I'm still testing H96 pro+ 3/32. These are not complaints; just considerations.
I flashed over v10.5.1 (Unchecked >Erase All; > Bootloader) ...understand it is always better to flash fresh!
**Flashed Rom again Checked >Erase Flash; > Bootloader (used modified bootloader from SC)**
Rii i8+ keypad does not have all buttons mapped! (Same v10.5.1)
Mouse is slow to respond(?) Upped speed in settings from 1 to 2..hmm, something seems off.
External HD not accessible /visible. Was finicky under 10.5.1(Average throughput 5-9 MB/s).
OTG port is also no longer recognized/no power!)
**USB ports work again **
**USB 3 hub is not recognized. USB 2 hub is recognized! **
Picture Mode is messed up! Colour and saturation etc. (Dolby Vision seems to fix/take control).
Picture in Picture might now be fixed(PinP window would get stuck/inaccessible v10.5.1 (seemed fine in v10.2)).
Mx Player Pro finally shows Picture in Picture - as an on-screen option...still did not work.
**Ocassional screen flicker spotted during white screen change-overs **
Viper4android FX seems simpler.
** To reiterate, Flashing fresh is always best!! **Last edited by Reaper Man; 14 February 2021, 10:16.

SELinux
Permissive versus enforcing.
SELinux has 3(?) Modes Disabled, Enforced, Permissive.- Disabled (or not supported ) to debug permission problems, it might make sense to temporarily disable SELinux. Disabling afterwards will cause failures ?.
- An SELinux-hardened system will run with SELinux in enforcing mode. The SELinux policy is in effect and things that it doesn't want to allow(deep system modified) won't be allowed.
- Permissive, most anything to do with root. Changes you configure that are not factory
.
App to check system /root.

At last mention Permissive selinux. It is less secure as discussed for years. I'm unaware of new announcements.

neither of the v3 twrp will finish a nandroid backup, they both end with error 255 once the data partition is backing up.
is there a setting I'm missing?

From the GT1 link, I'm not sure if this is usable..or if all buttons will work.
If it works report back.
Know how to Unbrick your China Box before testing!
I'll test it, then I'll tell you if it works or no
Thanks you
