So you want to increase/alter computations...Sweet!!!
Before you flash any file decide why you are doing it.
Once you enter the testing Zone ...
No going back
LOL
If it aint broke don't fix it.
Make a recovery before you do anything
Make 2
One before Factory Reset
Another After.* Optional
If your box is not bricked ,gather all the info you can from system settings
Take pics with phone or write down at least Android version, build, ram, ROM
Install apps like cpuz or Ram truth, any idoK version, will give info on hardware..
Find the reset button, Practice boot to Recovery
Do the toothpick thing, and boot to recovery purposely.
In the top left corner should be user debug /test keys/ build...etc
Write that down or take a pic.
That is the rom or build CPU is reading/processing .
Info can be most useful for finding working Rom
Take pics of box inside and out if your ambitious..
And anything else you can gather...
Once you flash/test custom ROM kernel etc,
Two major issues HEAT, Remote control con fig
Remote control/con fig
Can be massive can of worms finding Device tree blob, remote con fig file...etc
Use any wireless mouse, mini keyboard for navigation until you fix
HEAT CPU
Custom Rom,armbian,core,libre,open,alexelec,Kernels,Linux ,etc...
Once you accelerate Hardware or max to potential results are most excellent.
However its like driving your Car at 80 MPH All the Time!!!
You are going to have Heat/temperature CPU issues.
Use a CPU cooling Fan 5v
We use older laptop cooling fan with USB, pass through

Check Thread Customize Box
Drill holes in case etc...
