X96 Air S905x3 2/16GB magisk?

Hi been using the x96 mini 2/16GB with magisk and thinking of getting a box a x96 air as it is quite cheap and has a better cpu.
Anyone installed magisk on it or is there issues such as locked bootloader / return to standard recovery after attempt to install magisk?
