    12V on V88 Box

    Hi together,

I made a mistake during flashing and put an 12V power supply into my V88 Box. Now my input of the TV seems broken, the v88Box made a bit of fog. I guess the box is damaged, but wanted to ask for some ideas or suggestions. My usb keyboard dongle broke also. Unfortunately it seems it was a connected to all 5V lanes.

    I accidentally used a 12V power supply

So the Ugoos will have over voltage protection that would prevent such damage in the same scenario?

You are not the first nor will you be the last to apply a 12 volt source to a 5 volt device. I did it with an Ethernet switch..

I reckon that your house must resemble a NASA Apollo control centre with all the tech you have, so easily done with a gazillion wires around.

Yes, tons of wire. I painted the 12 volt power supply connectors wit nail polish. Hopefully, I don't make that mistake again.

                  That's a great idea.

I won't ask about your nails.
