rk3188 tablet kernel sources

Not yet, I tried to boot picuntu 4.4.3 from sd but kernel segfaults during boot. So you want a ready distro? It's not ready yet (kernel is not). You want just to install distro or develop (kernel and so on)? For now there's no one except me, developing kernel for 3188 based tablet. I don't know anyone at least.

sking advice for device
I would prefer installing a distro, since I have no knownledge at all in any programming language, exept in html !
But I'm used in cross-compiling kernels from sources for my pengpod700 tablet, I've often had to do it, and it works. But, it's true, Pengpod700 is an open device ... If it can help ...
I think if you have a kernel booting, all the rest is quite easy, you can install any distribution afterward.
If with picuntu, "The kernel segfaults during boot", it means Uboot (if it's Uboot) finds the kernel on the SDcard, no ?
It's a good start

If you want a working distro, then wait some time for me to build a working kernel. And only for m9, not pro. It's very hard to make a kernel for some device you don't possess. So no m9pro or any other. I have m9 Wi-Fi and build for it. Although it should not be very hard to make a kernel for m9pro, using those sources, but without having an actual hardware... Nearly unreal.

I've bricked my m9 while trying to port KitKat,but after a day of research I've unbricked it,thank God. I will post a tutorial a little bit later.
I really thought it would be the end of my PiPo m9 experience, but I've managed to unbrick it. Later I've bricked it 2 more times and successfully unbricked,so the method is 100% working. But it requires disassembling the unit and....no trembling hands allowed

I'd assumed you would just be flashing the kernel. I do my best not to flash the loader.
Cheers

Well, kitkat fw from pipo u8 has new loader, also it has new rk30xxnand.ko and it does not mount partitions at all. One guy ported kk from u8 to m9pro and he had to use new loader for it to boot. I tried to flash it and it bricks m9 (4 times I've bricked my m9) maskrom mode is kinda scary and nervous cause the pins are <0.5mm, but I had gone through this process for 4 times now, it works OK.
