I have read here about the SCV1 Custom ROM that seems to be ok for my new Tanix TX6. I am not totally stuck on having Android 9 on my new box (and it seems that there are some Android 10 variants out there now as well). Android 7 would suffice, I guess. The questions are:
1. Can I downgrade and install SCV1 from my current Android 9 and, if so, what - if anything - might I loose?
2. My Android 9 firmware has a 2020 date and the latest "stock" firmware I can find right now is 2019. If things go awry with SCV1 or if I decide to return this thing, I would want to get it to at least 2019, and better still, the firmware it came with. So is there a way to extract the current firmware and save it for later application if needed?
3. Is there some way, short of applying and possibly bricking my TX6 to know with a high degree of certainty if this will all work, that my unit is compatible, etc?
