Help, MK802IIIS damaged or briked ?

    Hi

yesterday I started to flash my MK802IIIS (BT) with the latest imito mx 4.2.2 firmware. As before I put a metal paperclip into the case to push the reset button. By fumbling the USB plug into the computer I slide down from the reset button and slipped a bit into the case. The flash finished but it won't boot anymore. seems it's completely dead, no hdmi video signal, no usb connection but powered on (blue led) .

also tried to reflash the image with the rkandroid tool but computer usb did not detect the stick :-(

I ask google about bricked MK802 device and found this:

Ok, the MK802IIIS has a reset button that, maybe has the same function as this two shortcut pins inside ? Will this unbrick procedure also work on the MK802IIIS ? If it also has the two shortcut pins near the NAND chip, it's worth a try.

    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Frank

yes it will work , you bring the stick in maskrom mode with this method.

if you not have the 2 dots then look on the arrow on the chip .
then you must shortpin this 2 legs

thanks for your quick reply. what are the correct numbers of the pin [leg] on the upper right corner. shortcut between pin 7 and 8 ? I've found another different image for an MK802. Here you have to shortcut pin 7 & 8 on the lower right side ? which one are the right ?

This is the MK802IIIS BT platine

here, its pin 8 & 9 on the uppper left side???
      I'm a bit confused now.

On your picture you see on the right side of number 9 ,2 little dots.
If you shortpin these it is the same .
You must shortpin the dots and hold it ,then connect it to the pc and you see that rkflashtool says found rkmaskrom.

            It depends on the circuit.
In my case, this method worked

It has worked like you told. No problem to reflash the image with shortcut pin 8+9 on the chip.

              Thanks for your help.

              regards Frank
