Android box not finding wifi networks

I have X96 air box android 9, works perfectly when using wired ethernet.

But when I try to use via wifi it cannot detect any networks not even my home one. The modem is in the same roon.
    I have tried rebooting etc.
It did find my network once, but dropped out seconds after connecting.

Is there something that needs to be checked in Settings ??

Or is it time for a factory reset ??

    Thanks for any advice.

was it working before? or is this a new ROM?

if it was working before and stopped working delete the wpa_supplicant.conf file under the /wifi directory and reboot the box wait about 3 minutes it should work again.

if you have root on your box... install ES File Explorer

go to /system/etc/wifi directory there you will find the file.... delete it. reboot done!
