Hi All, Thought I would join as I do have interests in app development and would like to support Will and Bob's new venture (adventure? ) Your passion for RC Heli's is what has made that site so awesome and turned it into what it is today. Based on that, I can only see good things in the future for this one as well. I'm interested in using some of my skills for application development and system/data integrations to look into the world of tablet applications and operating systems. Android might just be my gateway 'drug' to a new world. -Chris

Welcome Chris! The beauty of developing apps in Android is all the tools and resources are FREE! In fact you do not even need a tablet as the SDK has an emulator.

Also for a quick start, check out this site called App Inventor!

You can make apps without writing a line of code. I actually made one using it

Welcome! I'm a new user too. I've been doing web development and web design and interested in making apps as well.

I'm planning to use Jquery mobile and phonegap to make apps on Android, and eventually Apple (I don't have a Mac yet). I think JQM and phonegap is really awesome and makes for app development easier since you only need to write one code for Android and Apple.

Anyway, Just my thoughts. Cheers!
