I am new to this. I would like to try for x96 AIR. So how does it work? What about drivers for wifi and stuff?

Only companies can get it and it doesn't work for generic devices.
You are better of buying a development board eg. Khadas that provide the sources with all changes applied to build successfully.

khadas site and xda forum have good info.. search "compile android" and "create dtb file android"

bumerc I know u built from Khadas source. What about MBOX source?

You can ask this guy how he did from the sources for the set-top box on the s905y3 processor android 10. This processor is very similar to the s905x3.

That firmware is the Recovery/Stock original firmware for Android 9 for the Sunnzo box. NOT Android 10 Q.

And yes I believe you are correct in the statement that is similar to X96_Max_Plus, it may be just a clone with exact same board inside the box.
