Interesting. Anyway, I hope it's of some use for you to advance your work on the kernel

            Helo dnkn.
Can you try to include vsync fix in your kernel?
You can read about it there:
            http://hwswbits.blogspot.hu/2013/10/...vsync-fix.html

I can test it on my tablet.

Do our Tablet's need the VSync fix? Video plays fine for me.

Re: Custom kernel for PiPo M9

Our testing has revealed that the vsync fix kills video performance on these tablets.

I have a problem with tablet peeping.
ockernel solves this problem but 3g doesn't work
                    the modem doesn't turn on

                    original kernel = peep
                    oc kernel = no 3g

please save me and tell what to do?

                          Hi,

this whole thread and project started out with so much power and suddenly it just died.

Is there still some development for a custom M9 kernel or has it stopped completely? Is DNKN active in other bulletin boards?

It's just sad to see so much promising development go to waste...

                          Regards
                          Vibsi

I've tested some new features, but they do not seem to be effective.. But hotplug CPU governor seems to save some juice without noticeable drop in performance. It switches off unused cores. So when you watch video there's only one or two cores online. Depending in the system load.
I've made plenty of tests, measuring memory performance to find the best and most power effective values. Looks like 528-576mhz Is enough for m9.
Rk3188 has single channel 32bit memory bus which ruins 3d performance in some (not any) games. Where memory bandwidth is vital (heavy textures processing).
I'm using my kernel everyday and tablet performs much better and without any noticeable battery drain, moreover, I got 10.5 hours of 1080p video payback, got ~9 on stock kernel. Now I'm trying to make a kernel to run native Linux. And also trying to build cm11 (compiled it, but had no time to test).
