external hdd and torrents

Hey guys,
So im considering an android tv device to replace my pc which is hooked up to my tv. Its main use is surfing dloading movies and music.

So has anyone successfully setup an external hdd and torrent app on their X7 and then played the movies and music from the hdd?

Rather than having another device to host movies or music and stream over wifi?

Is this possible and has anyone tried it?

Yes it is possible.

You'll need to download the required apps from the Play store which are mostly free.

I am using a 500GB WD Passport drive that works well when connected to a USB port on the Minix. No external power supply required. I will stick to my PC for torrents for now.

You must have the posibility to change download path
/mnt/usb_storage/usb_disk0/
For now im using drtorrent
