Most likely UGOOS will release a box with the RK3588, I don't expect them to have such a device ready for delivery till at least the beginning of next year.

Are there Linux distributions that work on Ugoos UT8 and UT8 PRo? Since the SoC RK3568 is also used in Mini PCs it should be possible...

just as the rest of the boards and boxes nope

if you get lucky they release a bsp linux-image with a old debian or ubuntu version
or some dts copied on a old armbian image

just buy a sbc board instead of a tvbox

yeah that is just both a firefly board with their modified rockchip bsp linux with downstream kernel

yeah but no tvboxes and armbian is just as manjaro depending how or when the drivers land in mainline-linux so downstream dts files wont work on their newer releases
