just bought this tvbox. had several issues. fw 20220525.025824.
- restart not working. all remote and reboot apps works as shutdown >red light. then can't turn on tvbox. need to unplug /plug power cable.
- wifi almost dead, my internet 100mbps but when I test it, hit to 10mbps then down to 2mbps and stabilize at 4~5 mbps. ethernet works normally, 94mbps ok. wifi need to fix asap.
- 3c toolbox shows cpu gov shedutil? this should be interactive usually. also SD cache io seems none, usually I would see cq or noop. can't change 128kb for SD or ext drives. that works slower than 2048 in my experience.
- superuser root sucks. adaway can't change hosts file, gives a message about changing magisk settings but it's not installed in tvbox
- I plugged in HD drive, flash drive and micro SD, they all hit the highest values then down to very low transfer speeds like wifi very annoying. might be governor settings but no other options, weird.
- some apps like Google go goes portrait mode. need to fix with orientation apps.
I got new fw link, not tried yet. how could I back up my existing fw. pls let me know if possible without pc specially .
hope we can see custom firmwares for this tvbox. 2ghz speed 4/128 GB storage fairly good.
>updated 2022.06.20 ota zip by updater app, local up. >selected file from usb, microsd, sdram, it doesn't matter. it's not full wiped update method . everything's remains. honestly seems only wifi speed is better, around 10mbps now. also my biggest problem for a few days was all data, obb, download, sdram / directories have been wiping after shutdown > unplug /plug restart . that's impossible to play, use anything like that, that's fixed. maybe delete Google play store data caused that, I'm not sure. some apps i paid had license issues, showed me price, developer told me delete gplay data >restart. maybe that caused this auto deleting problem. luckily update fixed that.
but still can't reboot, restart, reboot to recovery menu etc. options end with shutdown >only red light. soo have to unplug /plug cable still for restart.
adaway >hosts update problem remains. can't edit, change any file by root explorer, x-plore (permission granted) in root folder.
another missing feature is ethernet switch on/off in Android ethernet options. i was using that option in my old android 6 tvbox to switch between wifi /ethernet. bcs wifi is sucks always in these devices and only using wifi for dlna wifi cast while watching videos on tv. looks better. soo, ethernet on/off very simple but necessary feature for tvbox. hope a fix adds this.
