Please remove everything what is not required by Wifi-only model.

I really wouldn't know myself. But would it not be possible to compare the 3g and wifi-only ROMs from the other Pipo tablets to see if there's a common difference that could be applied to the M6 ROM?

        Rom Update

Hello All, was just on the pipo site and this was listed http://www.pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=Ab...an_show&id=130 , Is this the latest rom? it says it a non G3 version. will it resolve the deep sleep issues? or is this already in the 1.3a rom?

in cpy spy are still 0.57 mins. not changed cince started working with it (but i hope it will go to deep slepe)
Think the same problem like before... but not rooted this one tablet now . ( i will bakup this firmware first)
At the 1st device (rooted with 1.3) all i renamed the known folder and all phone apps phony..email..mms to xxx.app.old an ive deep sleep .
But the idle always an 87%.... The usable runningtime only 2,5 hours at my first Pio M6 pro.
And now with the second device the idle at the tolerance.
I hope i get a better worklebe tablet

              greetings from Germany
My daugther is still happy while playing wit the tablet..

I clicked on the update button on my tablet and I got a message pop up for a new "OTA update" . After the download and a reboot the new firmware is installed . Αll my apps and settings were there (didnt loose anything).

Hard to know though the changes after this new update

Because of the unique screen of this tablet, I've found that the other ROMs aren't compatible. I've tried.

I'll look at that new ROM tomorrow. Sorry...I'm working tonight.

If this new firmware is specifically for wifi version...it should help with battery drain.

What "update button" you pressed? because from settings it can't find any updates

I have disabled OTA updates. They don't work for custom ROMs.

                            Total Noob

Okay, I D/L RileyROM 1.3 for my Pipo M6 Pro. No matter what I do, it will NOT let me boot into loader mode. See the image below for the error message I'm getting. Talk about frustrating. And no, my tablet is not rooted, so not sure if I have to do that FIRST? I've never flashed a tablet ROM b4, so this is my first experience. I've never rooted b4 either - anything, not even my Droid, which I don't use anymore cuz I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices for data packages.. ggrrr.. sorry, rant over. I can catch on fairly fast, but not sure if I'm missing a step (like having to be rooted first maybe.) Sorry for being such a noob.

You are very close, my friend!!!!!

All you need to do is go to the folder in the ROM kit named "alternate_reboot_to_flash_tool" and open the RKBatchtool.exe along side the Flash Tool (both running at the same time is OK).

Your device will show up as a pink box at the bottom.

Click the "Switch" button. It will reboot your tablet to flash mode.

Go back to the ROM Flash Tool and erase IDB and Flash the ROM according to the guide.

The problem with not being able to get into flash mode from the flash tool raised it's ugly head after we created the First Time User's Guide, so there isn't any documentation for it...but I started including that app in the kit. I need to nudge Pr0Xzen a little more to update the guide for me.

I can't explain it, but the reboot to flash just miraculously started working on my Windows 8 tablet. I have no idea what I did to fix it...but I flash some 100 or more times a week...so maybe that did it.
