    Detachable Antenna

    Hi,
    I would like to know whether K-R42 / CS918 / MK888 / Jesurun DX05 has a detachable antenna?
I'm going to connect it to wired LAN, and having the antenna sticking out would be annoying.
    Thanks.

    Yes.. atleast my unit does
It has a (mini sma - click-on) connector.. on pcb that can be released (cable to pcb)
then push inweard the platic antenna.. then its remove-able

However.. you need to screw/open the tv-box..

So the antenna is not connected to the case ?
How difficult is it to open the case ?

K-R42 does have a detachable antenna mate.

The opening of a K-R42 involves removing the rubber feet underneath which then exposes 4 phillips screws pretty small ones, watch you don't loose the little plastic infrared lens situated just to the left of the power button on the front edge as it's just sat in a 1/2 circle cut out and is just laying in the cut out loose, the antenna appears to have a clip that needs to be pressed in but i failed to unclip mine it's a pain in the @ss lol,i thought i may end up sheering off the clip so i left mine in,but it's blaintantly removeable.Hope that clears it up for you.

Are you talking about a method that includes opening the case, like described above?
          Thanks.

            A photo of the device

Assuming this is a photo of the device, how is it possible to detach the antenna?
I want to be able to put the antenna back, so I don't want to cut any wires.

Ok the picture is right for the K-R42 as you see the antenna has a cable so follow that to the little gold connector just lift the connector upward to remove as they are just pressed on,then you see the clip on the antenna just check there isn't another below where can't be seen if there is press both clips in and push back to release the antenna or just press the one clip in if there is just one clip and again just push the antenna back whilst the clips in,obviously having removed the gold antenna connector 1st.

Now it's clear. Thanks a lot!
