Polaroid PMID701C "Stock" ROM

    Polaroid PMID701C "Stock" ROM

    I am extremely proud to present to all of you a stock rom for the PMID701C. This rom did not come from Southern Telecom, I made this rom using the stock rom files from the romdump provided by notpod.

    Tutorial:
    1. Flash the Onda Gingerbread ROM using Live Suite.
    2. Install the KKRomKit LINK
    3. Flash the Stock ROM from Clockwork Mod. (If you format /data you'll get rid of the apps from the Onda ROM)

    Edit: I seem to be having problems with my Home button can someone verify if it's a bug?

    Awesome man just awesome!

    Makes me wonder why it does not work via livesuite tho?!? But still a giant leap for ROM-kind! (something like that anyway...)

      Haha yeah, it can be done with live suite but we just have to make sure that when live suite checks to make sure the files are the right size and what not, we put in the right verification files for the imgs for stock. This thread has some information that probably would work for what we're trying to accomplish.

      I am going insane because I really would like to be able to MODIFY EXISTING AINOL/PLOYER FIRMWARE IMAGES.... It would make my life (and the lives of my customers) SO MUCH EASIER. So $50 (via Paypal) to the first person who can get on here and do the following with an existing OFFICIAL Ainol 2.3...


      Also notpod, can you send me another img dump from your stock pmid701c?

            Hang tight. To make it easy I am going to reupload a complete notpod dump zip. I will update the sticky thread when done.

              That is the one that had the zip file that identifies a trojan. When I opened it up it my virus scanner just plain deleted it. There is a newer version here :

                OK notpods ROM dumpo is reuploaded to the notpod dump sticky thread.

                You talking about notpod's dump has a virus? I can confirm it does not. The zip only has .img's in it so not possible to virus those as heck windows does not even know what ext4 format is!

                  That was the link that had the A10 image tools that had the zip file that at least said it had a virus. It was the unimg.exe file that it was talking about. I remember Notpod saying he had to do it on his Mac to be sure it didn't infect his system. It is on page 1 of the Notpod's final Rom dump thread:

                      You are still not getting what I said

                      It is not the files we have on freaktab it is the files in Post 3 of the link to slatedroid (looks like the same package on XDA) that shawn linked to in post 3 of this thread. That zip file of the ImageSuite package says it has a trojan and deletes the unimg.exe file (at least mine did).
