Network Settings problem

Hi

I'm trying to use an ethernet lan usb adapter.

1. Is it possible to connect through a usb hub (powered/not powered)? and not directly to the mini pc (after all theres only one usb slot apart from the power one...)?

2. After connecting to the router I switched on ethernet on the mini pc and went inside ethernet settings (wifi is off). there was no ip/subnet/default gateway...Only dns1 of the router.

I had slow internet but no network, when i clicked "static ip" settings at the bottom, I saw it's checked, but without any settings entered at all for static info. I tried to unselect it but when I tried to go back, and it asked if I want to save, I said "Yes" and got a "save failed!" message.

I tried unselecting it, and pulling the power out also incase this workaround is related but no go...

3. Can this be related to the fact that I forgot to set the correct time in order to make google play work ?

1. Yes. You can connect through your USB hub without powering the hub.
2. Go to Settings, disable your ethernet then enable it again. DHCP is recommended.
