CS918 no LAN

    CS918 no LAN

    Ive read up on the posts on here and have tried various FW's and am now downloading the last one on the other thread about it and am hoping that this will fix my issue as its only a few days old, what i want to know is did the issue finally become fixed and what firmware was it that's worked.

    It depends on with board (PCB) do you have...

    T-R42 / CS918BT => PCB: B351_V1.0 => WLAN: AP6210 + LAN: asix ax88772
    K-R42 / CS918 => PCB:CH001 TN-BX09_V2.x = > WLAN: RTL8188 + LAN: RTL8201F

    For the bluetooth version (T-R42 / CS918BT) have a look on these treads

    T-R42 custom firmware by wasser

    If you have TN-BX09_V2.1 try this
    Or the K-R42 Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 2.0.4 by lewy20041 with wassers new kernel
    "And if you have HFW version 2.0.3 or newer then flashing new kernel is as easy as typing on keyboard.
    Open Terminal Emulator form Settings menu then navigate to directory where you placed unpacked kernel image and finally execute command:
    flash_image kernel xxxxxxxx.img"
    (xxxxxxxx means the file name)

      I tried the hybrid FW2.04 and had no lan ive since tried every FW i can find and the only one that kind of worked was the last FW on the original no LAN thread but that kept saying cant install to SD or USB when installing some apps from the market and also reported some odd hardware results that didnt match my device. Do you have a better tutorial of how to add the Kernel to the Hybrid firmware.

      I dont think the device had bluetooth if that helps.
