I am trying to back it up. I used an app to check if it was rooted and all is good.
I cannot find any info on how to install clockwork mod.

I just want to back up the rom in case something goes wrong.

Any info on this? I remember using an update.zip file for my MK808B which worked great, it doesn't work for this box.

Any ideas? I don't want to brick the box!!

clockworkmod on Allwinner A20

I tried installing clockworkmod through rom manager, however when I select "reboot to recovery" rom manager does nothing.

Just wondering if the clockwork mod (update.zip) file I have is specific to the processor or other components?

For example, If I install another update.zip file for the same Allwinner A20 processor, will it mess up my original rom?

I really need to back up this device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I found an identical unit. They have firmware available here:

I didn't try it yet, not certain and I don't want to brick the box.
