Gaming - Tap the screen to continue, problem

I am trying to simply get a mouse and keyboard to work with most games. I can't figure out how to get screen taping to work with a mouse or keyboard. For example, the game Subway Surfers says to tap the screen to start. That doesn't seem to work with a mouse or keyboard. I've tried all of the Finless roms and stock roms. I have tried many usb and BT mice and keyboards. I have not tried a dedicated gaming controller. Will the gaming controller solve my issue? If so which one?

PS. my mice and keyboards work just fine with hundreds of other apps, just not games. I'm using a CX919 that seems very forgiving. It will run any rom.

try tincore app and set mouse pointer and clicks to hybrid.

Unfortunately Tincore didn't recognize any of my mice or keyboards. Any other ideas?

Yes, I'm rooted. What Rom do you recommend or does it matter? I've tried this on Finless 1.6b

Really it should not matter. It is strange. I imagine it is not picking anything (not only keyboards or mice).

I would need some extra information to investigate what is going on. Send me an email and I'll give you some instructions. I hope I can fix it.

I would wipe the data and install the latest version. Even preferably the beta just in case there is something I have to tune.

OK thanks! I'll erase and flash the entire cx919, get screenshots, and let you know how it goes. I'll try Finless 1.6b and the new Neomode 1.8 that came out today.

I have a test CX919 that I'm using to learn image building and app development. I can use that. Is there a particular game that should work well with your app?

I'm interested in knowing why you don't get your devices detected.

The newest versions have a universal profile sharing system so as soon as people start to share their profiles it would be even easier to use the app.

I like your thinking iv also got a test cx919 that I use for playing with new roms & testing games ect ect lol
