PIPO´s GPU, poor for my requirements?

Hi to all, I´m planning to buy my first Tablet and I have a Budget of 200-250 euros. For this Price, I have seen that Pipo products offer decent quality, and i think that Retina or minimun Full-HD is a must since I have seen some of these screens and I like the "sharpness effect".

When I discovered these Brand, some dudes came to me:
1- I have read that Mali400 is a poor graphic card that can´t manage these high resolutions. I´m planning to use the Tablet mainly for web browsing and Reading, some video when I travel, and not gaming. So, can these tablets give me a good answer, fluid use for this purposes? I mean, that the Mali400 is just for this resolution, but only for games? Is there a way to improve this performance?

2- At the begining I looked for the M9 pro, since it is the more famous product, but I have seen that there is the M6, with higher resolution so I suppose better screen, but maybe the performance is even worser than the M9pro isn´t it? I also see that the M9pro is more popular, and this is a plus for support, etc... What do you think?

    Thank you very much!!!

Re: PIPO´s GPU, poor for my requirements?

Hi. You have come to the right place.

Yes, mali400 is showing its age. But most users get a satisfactory experience.

Basically, it will play most games, just not some big games like NOVA 3 at high resolutions well. But you don't care about gaming so i wont talk about that.

For reading, its 100% awesome and fast. I read PDFs all the time on mine.

For web browsing, it is smooth, with stutters here and there which could be from a number of things like software optimization.

For video playing, even at 1080p, my experience is FLAWLESS with this hardware and uses very little battery.

Now for tablet selection: I would go for something from Pipo, Cube, or FNF.
Personally, for your purposes, I would choose a Pipo M8HD.

Beware, there is more to a display than resolution, color quality is of equal importance.
Basically, treat the M6 and M9pro displays as the same resolution. When picking, look at the ratio. M6 is square like an ipad. M9pro is widescreen. I prefer widescreen ratio as no screen space is wasted in movies.

Now, why do I choose M8HD? For everything.
    1. Cheaper than M9pro
    2. AHVA 1920x1200 display. Very high contrast and perfect sharp text.
    3. BATTERY LIFE. Best tablet I have used in this regard. 15 hours of HD video playback trumps overpriced ipads even. 10 hours of web surfing.
    4. Camera. Lol what? Yes, the camera on this is actually usable unlike 90% of china tabs. It doesn't lag even in low light.
    5. Build. This tablet is light and very small, but with same size screen as M9pro. This means thin bezels. The headphone jack holds the plug firmly and the HDMI and USB ports are of good quality. The build is very nice.

    Any other questions? Just ask.

Thank you very much! That`s a rapid and a good answer!

So, if I understand it correctly, there is no too much difference between the Retina and Full HD (because you equal M6 and M9 pro), but, how I know the color quality? Maybe from other user reviews?

I´ve done some search on the web about AHVA screen but don´t have comparison to another type of screens, is better than the IPS?

I don´t find this model on PIPO`s webpage, only the M8 pro version but it´s not the same. Isn´t it strange?

What do you mean with " with stutters here and there which could be from a number of things like software optimization" ? I can´t understand it sorry for my limited english knowledge!

Are there for this tablet the same ROM, etc... actualisations like the M9 pro? (I ask this because I find more opinions about this tablet)

And finally, I have search this product on Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.es (I´m from Spain), and in Amazon.com. Only this last has the M8HD and they can´t ship to Spain. I have found it on ****, and found it in United Kingdom, with basically the same price for the M9pro and the M8HD, around 260 euros. Is this price OK, or I can order it from another place? any suggestion?

Wow, lot of questions!! I´m sorry for that! Thank you veeeeery much for your pacience!!!!!!!

I do know that color is very good on the M6 as it uses the same display as the Cube U9GT5 which I have used. I haven't used the M9pro. The M8HD which I used is among the best I reckon. You won't be disappointed.

AHVA display has better contrast and darker blacks compare to IPS. Viewing angles are slightly worse as it gets a little hazy. It is barely noticeable though and well worth the better contrast.

M9 and M8Pro both have 1280x800 display with the M8pro being a superior LG model. Just like M9Pro and M8HD have a 1920x1200 display.

M9 pro has 32GB of storage over 16GB on the M8HD. Both have SD slot.
M9Pro has GPS which I never find useful on a tablet, only on a phone.
Otherwise they are specced the same.

Get your tab from dealsprime.com that is where I got mine. Ask on the live chat if its on stock first.
**** is expensive for China tablets.

As you can see on dealaprime, M9Pro costs more.

M9Pro is much older than M8HD so it has more ROMs. But that is just because a new debloated ROM comes out when pipo releases a new update. Therefore, M8HD is up to date just the same.

What I meant about the stuttering is that web browsing is not 100% smooth. You will have to pay a lot of money for that. Like a Microsoft Surface Pro.
Web browsing is fine for me btw.

M8HD superior battery life may come from the backlight in the diaplay. It may not need one as powerful for an AHVA panel. I get 15 hours of HD video.

Thank you very much! I´m now deciding where I have to buy it. Dealsprime is cheaper than buying it in **** but if I buy it on **** is inside European Union so no taxes will apply when It will arrive to Spain. So, if I have to pay something more via ****, but it arrives in 5 days, maybe I prefer it rather than wait more than a month, like some user comment with Dealsprime.

          Thank you!!

Dealsprime free shipping is China Post with Tracking. This is random, so you can have it in a week or a month.
I chose EMS shipping and got it in 6 days.

**** isn't a shop in case you are wondering. Every tablet there will come from chinese sellers and will be subject to taxes. There are a few local sellers (I doubt they will have this tablet) on **** but they will cost tons.

Thanks nzdm! I have just received muy Pipo m8hd and overall impresión is very fine. I have two questions, one is about the screen and the other about battery. The screen comes with a stick that has wrote "please peel off this mask AFTER application completed" - what does application mean un this sentence? I hace to remove it? Is there any way to protect the screen?I have charged completely the battery before using it, i have to discharge completely or is better to charge it when reaches 80 % ?Thank you very much!!

That means the shop applied the screen protector. Peel of the plastic without peeling the protector underneath.
