    Best battery life - M6Pro or M9Pro?

I'm coming very close to buying a tablet and was wondering if anyone had insight over which tablet had the better battery life - the M6Pro or the M9Pro.

    Thanks,

    Eric

They are very similar: m6pro has a bigger battery but retina display drain more battery than m9pro. I suggest you to buy the tablet with the display ratio you prefer, not about battery duration

Thanks Giouncino. Battery life is one of my metrics which I'm using to decide. So I can toss out battery life and pay attention to my other metrics.

        Battery life

If you want longer battery life DO NOT get a Pipo Pro with 3G built in.

The 3G's are having a problem with battery drain while in deep sleep.

Standard, WiFi only, have no battery drain while asleep.

That being said; Pipo M9 Pro or Pipo M6 Pro is a tossup. Both have debloated custom ROM's available (right here) and the bugs have been worked out (taken out.) Just get the tablet that best meets your display requirements.

Unfortunately you're right. But I'm in touch with Pipo customer care asking for a fix for the lack of deep sleep for ALL 3G pipo tablets.
The problem is that these "sons of Bruce Lee" (I'm jocking) ON PURPOSE locked the deep sleep function on 3G tablet. I hope they will remove that limitation soon.
At the moment the only solution is to rename a library file: you will loose 3G function BUT you will finally get the deep sleep working.

So a question or two. Does the tablet need to be rebooted after renaming the file? If not, it seems reasonable to write a script to rename the file back and forth if one desired 3G service during a period of time.

                  To quote Balrog -

"At my M6 max the deep sleep issue was not reasoned by the kernel but a faulty driver for the 3g modem which prevents the deep sleep.

Try to rename /system/lib/libril-rk29-dataonly.so to libril-rk29-dataonly.so.old (with es file explorer or root explorer) and look if, after a reboot, the deep sleep comes back again after a few minutes after you turn of the display. Be aware that this mod makes the 3g modem unusable."
