Finless 1.6 -> 1.7 upgrade

So fineless 1.7 is about to be released and I would like to know (as an andorid noob) how do I backup my stuff before I upgrade the firmware/kernel? I've installed some apps and made some customaztions in them which I would like to keep, is there an easy way to back it up and bring it up after the update?

Easiest way is using Titanium Backup App from google play.
If you get the free version you will have to click for every app being restored. Kind of a pain but it still works.
If you buy it, it will restore without any clicking.

There is another way using ADB but I do not recommend it due to this new ROM and changes.

I use ultimate backup;

1) backup apps+data
2) copy backup to sd card or usb drive
3) instal ultimte backup app after flashing
4) restore everything again

Done!
