very dark

all og my movies are very dark, always have been and now even with this new firmware still dark. is there anything I can do?

running at 780P on a sanyo plasma tv.

Set tv brighter... take of sunglasses
Most players like xbmc and mx have a brightness atjust function.. (while playing vids)

What are you using to play files?
and how is the new fw.. ?
are you using official version ? 720 or 1080 or the finless version ?

official version 720p and on all platforms, including Netflix.

I think it's still too bright, especially when I'm using the browser with white background.

I've noticed the same thing. Previously I had a laptop temporarily acting as my XBMC box, hooked up to my 720P TV, and the video looked great. After switching to the Minix X7, video seems to be rendering darker, and the textures aren't as clear. This is on XBMC XAF build with MX Player backend, but I see the same results using other video apps.

I see it on Netflix also, 1channel, navi x ,everything basically. and if I use my google tv box it is clear so it's not my tv.
